The main event of the card was the debut of former LHW Champion Lyoto 'The Dragon' Machida at MW.
Opposing him in the GON,friend and training partner Mark Munoz.
For years Machida had shunned away from dropping down to MW, with obvious success, no weight cut & long time friend Anderson Silva reigning supremacy on the division there was no backing support for the move.
With majority of circumstances changing, the perfect stomping ground for Machida displayed it's tagline against Munoz.
"I'm looking to change my attack, I want to finish every fight", Machida in a pre fight interview.
Finish he did, after the general stalk from "The Dragon" early in the fight, a lightning snap head kick shut down Munoz, Even blocking the kick the glove couldn't prevent the speed & power of Machida.
Showing incredible sportsmanship, Machida followed up to finish a dazed Munoz but held back the right hand realising the kick had put the lights out!
The Dragon has been released on the MW division, the win see's him open at 5th on the overall rankings!
With Bisping, & Souza just above him is a fight against either the lone pillar between the Dragon and the GOLD!
