UFC 164 Chad Mendes Vs Clay Guida

A bout fans fighters and hierarchy of the UFC have all glanced over, that looks incredible on paper looked to deliver from Mr Buffers announcement.
Starting off at a rapid pace as expected, Guida bounced into his reputation, cutting in an out to land the 1 in 3 jab.
Mendes defended two attempted takedowns before attempting 1 of his own which gave him the opportunity to lock in a power guillotine, a slithering Guida got back to his feet to settle the nerves of an adrenaline filled 1st.

Round 2 opened with a extravagant Guida putting the fight on his terms, while Mendes lurked cunningly to land a bomb or follow through with a double leg.
Successful sprawls from Mendes developed confidence and gained control of Guida's back  before letting him to his feet with a perfectly timed knee on the way up.
Talented fighters of much the same expectation carefully landed significant strikes to close out the round.

A noticeably rejuvenated Mendes strolled into Round 3 allowing Guida to walk into devastating left hooks which put Guida to the mat, the ever evolving Mendes capitalized on the situation following up with strong combination to become the first fighter to stop Clay Guida.

With 4 Straight finishes, a strong CV for a rematch with champion Jose Aldo is looking ominously close.
