UFC 163 REVIEW THALES LEITES vs TOM WATSON

This fight promised to be a war, with Leites returning to the octagon after 4 years and Tom 'Kong' Watson wanting to leave an impression on the people that matter at the UFC. Leites, being Brazilian, is highly skilled on the ground and it didn't take long for him to take Watson down, from there he took back mount and landed some great blows , Kong eventually fought his way out of that position to get to his feet. Both guys threw good strikes, but this was Thales' round.
Leites came out in the 2nd landing good strikes, but Watson continued to walk forward, Thales was able to grab a hold of Tom's hips and take him down, again getting back mount. Leites locked in a deep arm bar that looks to have broken Watson's arm, he stayed strong however and was able to survive the round. Thales started the 3rd the stronger, much like the first 2 rounds, landing an awesome left that busted Watson above his right eye. Leites picked off Tom from there, yet again taking him down to back mount, Leites struggled to finish any submission attempts, but was dominant throughout. Getting the unanimous decision victory, 30-27 all around
