UFC 164 Eric Koch Vs Dustin Poirier

Top ten featherweights started things of the Main Card, an incredible first minute produced a strong striking game and excellent offensive and defensive submission work.
Poirier stumbling Koch with precise striking,  sending a staggered Koch to the ground, from there  Koch continuously looked to lock in the triangle.
Coming back to their feet the development of poirier displayed a little more sending Koch to the mat again ending out the round in trying to finish with his signature d'arce choke.

Round 2 had a mirrored feeling to round 1, a high impact attack from Poirier, controlling the game on the mat from full mount to clinching against the cage.
Koch continually weathered the storm however could not find a spark to get attack going.

Round 3 showed battered Koch having a battle of the mind as he sought to swing the bout into his favour.
Continuous octagon controlled from Poirier, having Koch on the back foot for the first phew minutes.
Koch finally found openings in Poirier taking him down and landing strong elbows, taking his back and rolling Poirier into a extremely dangerous position, the enemy of time would be against Koch along with fatigue, finishing the bout.

A Unanimous Decision win to Dustin Poirier.
