What a start! Yuri got straight to the clinch and threw Urijah to the mat. Straight into mount and Yuri was able to transition to taking Fabers back. Urijah Faber's defence was brilliant and was able to escape and get on top of Yuri. Urijah's ground and pound was nasty, repeatedly landing elbows from guard and taking control of an exciting fight. End round 1 and Faber fought back well, he should get the nod. Back to the mat to begin the second round, once again Faber was able to work to the top position, landing elbows and opening Yuri up. Alcantara really needed to improve position, he was finding no success from guard. After being on the receiving end of some more huge elbows, Yuri worked his way to his feet only to have Urijah take him down again, finishing the round with, yep you guessed it, more big elbows from guard. 2 rounds to zip and Alcantara needs a finish in the 3rd. Yuri's confidence looked shot at the beginning of the 3rd, he was flat footed from the outset and Urijah landed some really clean right hooks. Faber got the takedown yet again. Alcantara finally looked a little more desperate, looking to grab an arm at any opportunity. Urijah Faber's defence was way too good though. Dominant all the way through Urijah Faber got the Unanimous Decision victory
