UFC Fight Night Review Joe Lauzon vs Michael Johnson

2 exciting lightweights to kick us off and it was Michael Johnson who seemed to settle the quicker. He used his jab brilliantly from the beginning keeping Joe out of range, his follow up right cross doing plenty of damage, sending Lauzon to the mat. Joe recovered to survive the first round, but Johnson continually pummeled Joe to easily take the round. Round 2 started at a different pace and Joe worked his way to the clinch only to see Johnson escape. It slowed Michael though and Lauzon was able to work his way into the fight. Big shots from both guys was keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats. Joe was able to again bring Johnson to the clinch but, Michael was able to use his superior strength once again to escape. A much more even round but Michael Johnson was well on top. Johnson started the 3rd again full of beans, great combinations were preventing Joe from mounting any sort of an offence. Halfway through the round and you could tell Lauzon had taken a beating, Johnson had been dominant the whole way through. He cruised through the last part of the fight to unanimous decision victory.
